Interested parties should contact the County Elections office to view vacancies and to submit their application.

The next regularly scheduled election for our district is November 3, 2026. Candidate filing for the 2026 Gubernatorial General Election opens on Monday, July 13, 2026. This is the first day any person can request paperwork and file to become a candidate to be elected. The final day to complete all paperwork is Friday, August 7, 2026.

Any person wishing to serve, or an incumbent whose term ends in 2026 and wishes to continue serving into the next term, must file as a candidate during this time period. If an incumbent fails to file, only non-incumbents will be given until Wednesday, August 12, 2026 to file.
